Thanks for Helping at St. Elizabeth’s!

by Sandi on December 22, 2010

At this holiday time when everyone is so busy, we wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who brought in socks & coats for us to take to St. Elizabeth’s in downtown Denver!  We just returned from serving lunch and wanted you all to see some pictures of your donations put to good use.

The line forms in the alley behind St. Elizabeth’s a couple of hours before lunch is served where people wait in the cold for lunch.  They are so appreciative and thankful for the meal and the extra goodies.  Thank you to everyone who brought in socks for us to take and a special thank you to Bill Martin of Shadow Sportswear who also donated a large pile of winter coats. Every coat was gone before we left.  And happy holidays to the Maly family who donated tons of wool socks and whose family came to participate today also.  Susan, Art, Barbara & Ray are a great group who keep things rolling 2 Wednesdays each month and make it easy for us to jump in and help.

Thank you again and from our family to yours, we wish you the Merriest Christmas ever!
