What is your child reading? Bookalachi is there to help!

I love discovering a great new parent resource but I love it even more when it’s one created by our own patients.  Bookalachi (see even the name is fun) is an online tool to look up a child or young adult book and get a quick, objective, synopsis of the appropriateness of the content for your child’s age level.  One of my favorite features about this site is that they also have the list of Lexile ranges with corresponding books and reviews.  Next time your child’s teacher sends home that little slip of paper with a number on it you now have a quick resource to not only help them find a book according to their designated range, but now you can skim the review to make sure the content is something you deem appropriate.  Founders Casey (the dude in charge of all things geeky) and Melissa (the chica in charge of the content reviews) have put together something special for parents.  Check them out at www.Bookalachi.com
